If you have a jetta (1.8t) I'm assuming, don't use a BOV. Get a forge dv and a intake. Your car will run correctly and you'll have the "blow off" sound.

they are illegal because it didnt come stock on the car. it is considered defective equipment for emissions reasons, its stupid i know but fuck it.

actually, you don't have to use a factory part. I dont' know the case that brought this up or where it says so in the law book, but a part does not have to be factory to be legal. It does have to mimic factory opperation, which a dv (of what ever brand) would do. The part basically has to be "like-factory". If I come across it, I'll post "proof". We had something about this at the shop I used to work at.
