uhhhhh you can't "change your IP" just by going in and selecting whichever one you want from "your range" and assigning your ip as a static. At lleast... I would hope not. Most broadband connections use a DHCP server to assign your IP. If the DHCP server gets a hit from you as a static IP it will probably drop your connection.
