BMW Owners Come On Inside

Lately I have been seriously thinking about trading in the Legacy for a '07/'08 335i. I am absolutely in love with this car and I am afraid the looks might be deceiving. I have a feeling I might miss the AWD....is the xi actually worth it??

I know zilch about BMW's and I was hoping someone could give me advice before I make a mistake and buy one without knowing. I have searched and heard about problems but maybe some people who actually own them can give me personal experiences.

Thanks:)

I love the way they drive. I think you'll be happy... those cars are nice... but go test drive one and make sure it's what you want.

I currently have one of the old 325i and love it even though its old as dirt. :)

Never driven an Xi, but the few 335s that I have driven have been amazing. If you're buying a used one have a PPI done as well as have someone at the BMW dealership run the VIN# to make sure it has had no previous problems and that the remaining warranty will transfer.

We don't live in the mountains. Get the RWD.

BMW's all wheel drive systems are made for this:

You don't need it, even in the pathetic 'snowstorms' 757 gets every 20 years; if it happens, just keep the traction control on and you'll be more than fine. And if you want to make power out of the car some time down the rode, the AWD components will be the first things to break.

My suggestion is to get a certified pre-owned one and it comes with a complete 6 year/100k mile warranty. It's hard to beat.

I hated my 97 for a bit because it wasn't in the condition I thought it was in when I bought it, but I can't deny the satisfaction of driving it. And truth be told its actually been quite reliable... besides the starter going and a power steering line leak the only problems I've had were from lack of replacing wear items. You must have an even worse piece of shit than mine was... care to divulge why you hate it? I have a feeling it has more to do with age/mileage than disappointment with the car itself. Or you bought an automatic. LOL.

Besides, I personally think the legacy's are ugly as sin, and far overrated as a 'performance' platform. I have heard the Turbo motors are problem prone however.
