Default black primer finish hood question

ok i got a hood that i bought brand new. it came with the flat black primer finish on it when it rains after a while it turns grey. i usually wax it and it turns back to the original finish but i was wondering if there is any other way to do it. ie armor all or anything like that

so, it's currently primered... and you're spreading wax all over the primer.

all you're doing is messing up the primer. there isn't supposed to be anything between the primer and the paint. now instead of a primered, ready-to-paint hood, you have a hood that will need to be stripped, sanded and re-primered before painting.

Some paint expert can chime in here, but i'm pretty sure automotive primer absorbs water which is why it shouldn't be primer forever

Waxing primer is stupid. As Roxtar said, you're fucking it up. If you're gonna wax primer you might as well rattle-can spray paint it since leaving it primered is pointless based on what you're doing to it.

Who takes the time to wax anything that doesn't have paint on it? Its not like after you wax it its gonna magically be glossy.

Hurf durf
