Default Best Car for 10k suggestions?

I know we hate these threads, but I'm not asking anyone to tell me what car to buy, just looking for suggestions on something I may have overlooked. I'm 90% set on getting another SRT-4 but would like to hear other suggestions to make sure I choose wisely.

Must haves
1. Car must have spacious back seats but I'd really prefer 4 doors as I'll be carrying around my daughter on weekends.

2. Must be somewhat newer and reliable (2000ish and up)

3. Must be sporty. (I know that's vague, but thats the best I can give. I like luxury such as volvo, bmw, etc., as long as it has some sort of "sporty" feel.)

4. Maintenance costs must be decent.

5. 10kish or less.

Probably a little higher than average. A 2002ish Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG would fit the bill too except for maintenance and the back seat isn't as roomy.

The BMW would be the E39 (1995-2004), the Benz is a W203 (2000-2007)

I'm falling in love with the Benz. I'm still researching but do you know how much a pulley swap and retune will run you and the gains? I def. want to know more about this car.
