B16a2 NA thoughts

I have a b16a2 and I'm putting it in my 91 EF. I have everything to drop this engine in, linkage, cv axel ect so I don't want a k f or h series. I don't want to do b18 or b20 bottom end or whatever combo. I'm doing b16a2. So please help me get what I can without trying to convince me to do FI or replacement displacement. B16 waste of money. It'll be quick enough and plenty for my eF.
EDIT: going boost after cosideration. I've already the parts why not right

b16a2 NA
high CR. supertech 82mm 11.1 pistons scat rod acl bearings I have to deck the block due to a slight scar so CR may raise and Cosmo .03 maybe thinner headgasket. Blockguard & Arp all the way around where ever possible. Head ill be doing supertech dual springs steel retainers valve seals flatfaced valves ect supertech valve train. All I need now is to consider which camshafts to apply to my set up. Crower stage 3 or Edelbrock . Ive read many reviews and there are mixed reviews about edlebrock. Ill be getting adj cam gears as well.
Also basic bolt ons edlebrock IM cai skunk2 ex. Type R oil cooler and rebuilt suspension

It's an all motor b16, you can bump the compression all you want, what little power you'll make is from the cams.

Is this gonna be a daily driver? Skunk2 pro 2's would be ok and make decent power over stock cams. I wouldn't even worry about spending more money on it after that, you're just milking a dead horse at that point.

Realistically, you could have googled "B16 cams" and read one of the MANY MANY B series vtec cam comparison threads/charts which explain specs so much better than I'm about to on here, but you got my 2 cents.

BINGO! common engine / common build.... google is your friend because we aren't

I'm not trying to get big numbers maybe 170-180 Im just trying to build a solid strong quicker than stock engine. I also have turbos and FMICs laying around so I could boost it later days if wanted to which I'm sure ill do anyway. Just asking advice. Thanks

Boosting over 11:1 CR? have fun paying someone to tune that, I wouldn't touch it

Lol I know that's right. I researched edlebrock camshafts and only found FI results. Everyone does skunk2. Brian crower stage 3 has mixed reviews. maybe ill drop nA and go FI

If you want to actually be quick and make decent power, yea you scrub yourself by going B16 in the first place. IDK why you you wrote off a B20 or even LSV since you like B series apparently. (I've built and tuned many a B16, but I'm the local H22 guy)

Thank you. I think the same thing all the time.

OP, the b16 loves boost. I believe the stock power ceiling on the rods/bearings is 300hp. I've seen numerous stock b16s with 270-280whp B-series = Boost-series

IMO, if you don't want to turbo the engine I would save the money from building a B16 and invest in a GSR or ITR motor that would put down the power your looking for (170-180whp) with just I/E/H and a tune..

I'm staying b because I've already mounts cv axles and linkage for my ef. Well y'all are right going FI would be best for better results and reliability wise as long as my tune stays accurate it'll last just as long. I've gt28 and FMIC. Ill add to this build and run from there just get lower compression supertech pistons everything else same as described. At first I wanted NA because I want strong quick and something to last a real long time as my dd. but if in rebuilding minus well boost. ?
