Audio Help
I tried searching, but no luck. I could use some input from audio enthusiasts.
Problem:
- Humming noise coming from speakers
- Humming more noticeable when A/C on
- Humming gets higher as I accelerate
- Gone thru a couple of fuses (80 AGU)
- Speakers will cut in and out (sometimes after 40 minutes of driving or 3 hours, it's very inconsistent)
Any help appreciated.

Re: Audio Help
EDIT: after reading up on alternator whine, this seems pretty close to what I'm experiencing, so I'll check it out.
Setup:
Phoenix Gold RsD front speakers
3 JLW10s (Rockford amp on box)
Old School Rockford Punch amp
Not sure how it's wired. My cousin did it all.

Re: Audio Help
Yes, alternator whine. Output of the sound matches your engine speed sort of.
no amps?

Re: Audio Help
I used to have that problem.
You can either read what I sent you above.. google some more.
I added a ground loop isolator to my amp powering my speakers, not my sub.

Re: Audio Help
Do you have a stock head unit or aftermarket? How are the amps connected to the head unit, through the factory speaker wires or through RCA cables?
This doesn't have anything to do with fuses or anything by the way, or the speakers cutting in and out. Those are both a different issue than the speaker wire, BUT if you have something like a grounding or power issue, that could be responsible for the alternator whine.
