Attn Ford & Mustang guys! Newbie
I just picked up a 01 Mustang GT that I am going to put togeather for my father. The car is almost 100% stock at the moment. I got it from the orig owner, 54 yr old, and it looks like it came off the showroom floor. Only mods as of now are flowmaster exhaust, K&N drop in filter, and a upgraded clutch. I am looking at doing only a few basic mods...
please let me know of good places to look/brands for parts as well as any other parts that may be good to get. I am not a mustang guy so I have no idea.

-aFe cold air intake
-18x9 22et 03 cobra replica wheels in black w/ svt center caps
-8k HIDs

I am just tryin to do this on a budget. My dad is 50, and will never push the car or anything. Just looking for a few small mods to clean it up.

get a steeda tri-ax shifter, then go with some 4.10 gears. never heard of a afe intake bbk is the more popular brand.
summittracing has underdrive pulleys for 90 or something.

latemodelrestoration.com the last couple of orders for my 91 were put on back order so I dont recommend it much, but its there.
sn95forums.com recently (6months ago) became new edge mustang friendly.
91hatch is a mod motor guy.
edit: scan through craigslist, 03-04 cobra termi wheels come up quite often for a steal.

I gave him a truck last year for his birthday. 02 F-150 SuperCrew, lifted 9'' susp and 3'' body on 38's w/ lots of mods. 50 is just a number to my ol' man.... he is a big kid.
nope, needs a better DD than the truck I gave him last year.... my mom likes mustangs so I figured wtf and found a good deal and jumped on it.
