I'm wondering if "we" file a complaint at Federal Trade Commission and NHTSA against the manufacturer of the cylinder heads probably we can get these trucks fixed by GM. The NHTSA can force manufacturers to issue recalls. I believed enough complaints can get these trucks fixed.

I doubt anything will happen with it. Jeep had issues with the 99-01 4.0L heads cracking in a similar manner and causing a coolant leak. There was never any recall that I am aware of. Good luck with it though. Makes me happy I went with a 99 Tahoe with the old 5.7L instead.

This one kinda made me laugh like the Hyundai Elantra MPG lawsuit people were filing. Too many variables to take in.

Doesn't sound like a recall the NHTSA would mandate. They only care about safety, and a small coolant weep due to casting porosity of a particular casting lot isn't going to catch their attention.
