I've got myself two rechargable walkie-talkies, that use the standard 1-24 channels for talking.

I personally think more of us ought to keep ours on and use them, because they can be quite handy. I got to warn a few people about a few 'cop spots' yesterday, and they were thankful...

If we all had one, I think it'd be pretty beneficial.

Sure /they/ can listen in on us, but so what?

Yeah and I wasn't exaggerating either. I remember using those like 5 years ago, along with dozens of other people.

But if you want I can edit my post and make you feel like you just thought of something new.

well then make it to '6' years ago when imports were at an early stage here in 757. i remember using them back in 98.

I remember using walkie talkies back in 94 to keep in touch with the Humvee at the front of the convoy.

Yeah over half of our FFW convoy of stangs had em.

It helps when a few of the talkie people have radar detectors too.

Ive always used a 2 cans and some string. If it doesn't work its easy to solve the problem. The strings bad.
