Re: anyone here have an M3?
I have a 97 M3, not sure what you want to know but the basics are..
240hp, 225lb-ft tq, 3175 lbs, 20/28 mpg, 5.4 0-60, 14.1 @100 1/4.
Now for the fun stuff, 50/50 weight distribution, .92g skidpad, 60-0 times faster than most of the newest ferraris, anti-dive-braking suspension geometry, constantly variable valve timing (I put 190lb-ft torque to the WHEELS at ~2500rpm.)
Other cool stuff, standard 10 speaker alpine (trunk-mount amp) sound system, adjustable "vader" "racing" seats, um.. full leather trim, 95% came with sunroof and heated seats.
With intake/chip/exhaust I dynoed 218hp/222tq to the wheels.
Not sure what else there is to talk about, my car has 93k miles and has had no maintenance problems (except things that were my own fault.. first thing ever a week ago the car started to overheat because of a thermostat/waterpump that I should have changed at the 90k interval, changing the parts this week.)
If you have any more questions let me know.
edit: other stuff, ASC-traction control (brake+throttle depending on speed) LSD, OBC (onboard computer), ABS (hm.. duh..) 650AH battery in trunk.

-My bro got a 95 Yellow M3, then 2 months later, he decides he wants a convertible, he sold it to get one with the tits out. Some drunk driver t-boned him 3 mos. later and he picked up a 99 with the insurance money. Sold it 2 years later after his 1st child was born in favor of an SUV.
-The other one, had an alpine white, hooked it up and someone offered him a price he couldn't resist, so he sold it and got a hellrot red one. (This happened twice.) Now he has an 89' M3 with 37K on the ticker.
I have seen about 23 Bimmer's go through my family's hands and only 1 was in an accident (stated above) which wasn't my bros fault. Great cars and german engineering at it's finest.
P.S. 05 BMW M5 coming in March 12 2005. I'm going with my bro to pick this car up, don't worry, pics will follow shortly.
