Yeah, so I'm an american car dude.
And I like my 8 cylinders.
But this Evo kicked ass! Get rid of the Neons that come factory, and the huge wing... it handles amazingly, and it's fast too! :P

It will be Automobile magazine's car of the year. And yes it is scary fast. I tried some power slides last night at the old Circuit City on Mercury blvd. I need some more practice. The car breaks traction under boost very easy in this cold weather (I do have a bit more power than stock so that helps also). In the heat of the summer though these Advans grip like no other.

I agree about the advans.
I bought the car in May and drove a lot in the summer heat. These tires are beast!
They pick up nails easy though. Had to fix a deflated tire already.

All you EVO guys, how come I havent seen an EVO on the road? Hell, when I saw it at the dealership the other day and test drove it it was the first time that I've actually seen one.
In my 02 SS I would have thought it was utter rice and laughed at it... now I know a bit better
How hard is it to get an additional 50-100 horses from them?

50 to 100 horses is actually pretty minor mods on the EVO. Check out BuschurRacing.com for their mods list and pricing. Where do you live....I see a lot of folks on this board when Im out and about with my EVO....although in February I'm picking up a Dodge Hemi pickup for my daily driver. I had the EVO at Barnes and Nobles two nights ago for some xmas shopping and about five guys who were hanging around the car magazines came outside to check it out and I showed them the car and took a few for a ride.

I live in great bridge, Chesapeake.
How good are these suckers on the highway? I mean, theres no doubt that they'd be two or more car lengths infront of my SS from the start, because of traction and such...
How fast do they quarter mile?

The fastest video taped quarter on a stock EVO is a mid 12.9. Most stock run between a 13.1 and a 13.4
Less than 500 bucks in the car will guarantee consistent high 12s.
Well, this car is the best handling vehicle I've ever driven, and according to most, the best handling car available to the general public. Race suspension, awd, etc, etc.
On the highway, I've had plenty of fun. If you downshift right, there shouldn't be too many folks that can beat you. I took it up to about 120mph on a good straight, copless stretch of 64 and the car felt amazingly in control. Stability is second to none.
