another "what kind of car should I buy" thread
plain and simple, I'm indecisive. So I need help
I want to purchase a reliable classy daily driver, one that I can slam, slap some wheels on and call it a day.
My budget is 4k-7k.
I've been looking at E36's and reading FAQs about em etc, and I have mixed feelings. The info on E36 specific forums is good but I feel like its somewhat biased. Anyone have any input on em? If they suck dak, what do you recommend?

I was looking at those as well, but they're kinda pushin it. Most are around 8k-9k, and its even harder to find a manual. I don't think I would enjoy an automatic, even if it is an is300, I love shifting too much

the market right now is really good if you want a second hand car. private sellers with actual detailed service records, would be my top choice.. you can find some gems on craigslist, if you weed through the massive crackhead prices "just needs this and that etc, transmission leaks i want 9k for a 1991 ford escort"
and actually some nice cars exist on here, kinda over priced.. and i would never buy a modified car from anyone, in-less i knew who it was, and who did the work.. some people do things half ass, and fuck buying a death trap or something ragged out..

I would love a wrx but like the IS300, its out of my price range. Same with the cube, they're dope no doubt but the less I'm in debt, the better.

Agreed, I've been scouring craigslist, cars.com, etc trying to find a well maintained E36 with records because I know how important that is. Its just hard trying to find a nice one, with the model I want (325i/s, 328i/s coupe), which is one of the reasons I'm open to other vehicle suggestions
