another stereo question..
Ok , I still have the stupid cd player problem and I still need to know if I need to get a 12v fuse to keep the memory on my cd player. Plus I need to know if I can connect a regular antena to a power antena. I tried once and the cd player didn't come on so I hooked the stock one back up and it played again.Any tips?

sounds to me like you should get a buddy that has hooked up a cd player before to help you out. Not trying to be a dick or anything, but if you dont know how to hook the antenna up, you should probably get some assistance before you fry the deck.

A power antenna only works if your cd player supports powered antennas. My sony has an extra wire in the harness made for power antennas and it works well with my boosted fuba antenna.
And by "powered" I mean boosted or powered signal, not that the antenna goes up and down with power.

If you switched antennas and your head unit didn't come on, 9 times out of 10 you have a ground problem and you're grounding the head unit through the shield on the antenna. You should be grounding through a ground wire, not a coax shield, etc.. Just a thought.
