Default all motor=higher compression??

i have a few questions to clear things up...

1-is high compression good for an all motor car?

2-is high compression a very bad thing?

3-if i have high compression there is still a good amount of things i can do to make my car faster?

people are starting to say my motor will blow up or i'll break something or theres nothing i can do on a motor with high compression

What kind of people are you hanging out with? If you are going N/A with no plans of injecting large amounts of nitrous or forced induction then you want high compression pistons. You can't build a high power N/A monster without it.

1 - yes

2 - no

3 - yes

get a free flowing exhaust, increase the flow of the valve train and get some more agressive cams.

what motor are you talking about/how much power are you trying to make?

Here's another question...what are you going to use the car for? That will help determine a build route.

if its for anytype of racing faster is always better, unless you want to be competitive in auto-x, where some moddifications are limited.

so your basically building an LS VTEC? If you are going to put a VTEC head on it, you can definately get some work done to increase air flow before it goes on the car. Than just get an intake, header and nice intake manifold, possibly a set of cams. Than i'd just get it dyno tuned.

I don't know anything about hondas, so you will have to research specific parts/manufacturers to find out what works well together.

That is very true. I asked its use because certain tuning procedures, parts, or combination of parts will give you power at different RPM levels.

OK bare with this kid... He is a cool guy and learning. I just sold him my CRX With a fresh B18b1 motor with Usdm Type R pistons mild port and polish and the head shaved 30 thousanths... I/H/E Still OBD 0 ... With a compression ratio of 11.1 And like i have told you before you can leave it the way it is and it will run forever.. But i know you want to make more power.. A good engine management and a good tune..Nitrous and high compression are good friends.. Just make sure you get it dyno tuned
