Never heard of it, but I wouldnt trust any "dampening spray" or whatever it is. I would feel more comfortable with Dynamat in a heartbeat!

Undercoating works, yes. It's all mass damping, so anything heavy and flexible usually works fine. Undercoating can get a little stinky in the car though, which is one good reason to use the water based spray mastic.. You have to use a shitload to get the same results as dynamat though, but it's really convenient for areas that don't need much help.

Peel-B-Seel, bitches. The Lowes at Short Pump stocks it, the one out near Gaskins used to but I bought them out, not sure if they still do. Its the same as Dynamat, its a roof sealant, in the roofing section. Comes in 6"x25' rolls and they're silver.

Adding any weight to an object generally lowers the resonant freq. Dynamat seems to work well because it weighs alot, but the spray will work as well as long as you do plenty of thick coats. I would recommend mat style dampening as long as it can be applied. Areas where it will be hard to make the mat adhere, like cracks or uneven surfaces would be ideal for the spray.

Whatever you do never buy name brand dynamat. It's actually produced by a company called MCcarmaster or something along those lines they have a huge website hopefully someone knows the name of it, I always forget. It's far cheaper on there
