Advertising is now FREE!
I'd like to start off by saying that dragVA never was, and never will be a business venture for me in any way. I started the site as a resource to locals to use in whatever way best fit for them, not a site to make me money. The site was also meant to be a source of entertainment as well.
And since some people don't feel that I show enough hospitality with the things that I offer here, I've decided to allow locally and owned and operated businesses in the automotive field to advertise absolutely free.
No strings attached.
Unfortunately I cannot refund the money of people who have paid to advertise in the past, but hey, at least the future is free right?
We will not, however, provide the service of making banners for free. If you would like a banner made, maybe you could ask or offer money to soulDistortion or Crate or any of the other well known digital artists on the board.
If you are a interested business owner, please PM me and I will provide you more details on setting up your account. The criteria is pretty basic. Be a locally owned and operated business that deals with our community, and you must have a website we can link to. If you don't have a website I will gladly be willing to work with you on having something made for you.

Like most things, depends on how it's handled.
If someone wants to outright whore a business out (i.e. responding to multiple threads with nothing but "call this number for our shop), we will regard that as spamming and handle it as such.
We've been fairly lenient as to the advertising rule, and we hope that our allowing free banner ads won't change how people act in regards to promoting their business.
Of course, if in doubt, it never hurts to ask one of the admins.
