I was wondering how long a Honda Accord lasts? Cause I was lookin in the paper the other day and saw one for sale that had 215xxx miles on it. I saw a couple car on here that had more miles then that and they say its still running great. But what is the average mileage on an Accord? Thanks

What generation? 5th gens ands below seem to go on forever. thats with the required maintenance, easy driving(meaning not driving like a idiot), and some tlc. I went to the honda dealership in jacksonville fl and they had all the people that went above 200,000 miles on the same tranny/motor posted on a wall, and it was a shit ton of them, mostly accords and civics.

Hey this is v8Buster i am on my friends name and well, i had a 1995 Honda Accord EX, with 150k miles on it. Let me tell you man, If you take care of theese cars, they run great even at high miles. I will admit i sometimes would tach out my car, but i mostly drove normal, and I also took care of all aspects of the car inside and out. If you change the oil, and do normal maintenance the car will run like brand new for a very long time. and they get GREAT gas mileage btw lol.

my service manager at work has a 91 accord ex, with 180K miles on it. runs like a dream.

That's a whole lot more info than you provided in the first post. Really, it's a matter of checking it out in person. There are typical things you can always check for on a test drive (smoke, knocking/tapping, unusla clicks or squeeks in the drivetrain), but it's still a Honda and has the potential to last forever if it was maintained well enough.
