93 civic EX
One of my friends just aquired one as a beater and we being fairly ignorant on Hondas are unsure about what parts on the car we should look at that may need to be fixed / replaced due to early wear and tear? Could anyone give us some advice?

Re: 93 civic EX
Mileage of the vehicle would help.
Manual or Auto?
First start with the basics.
Fuel filter. Oil change. Spark plugs. Distribtor cap and rotor button.
Depending on when it was done.. timing belt. water pump.
Maybe do a powersteering flush.

timing belt/water pump should def be first on the list. Then all fluids, and a tune up. After that, you should be good to go, depending on driving habits of course.

The car is in NOVA atm.. has 184k on it I think? Not sure of exact mileage due to the instrument cluster having been replaced at some point in time..
And it's a manual..
