The 6 at the end means that you're not going to get leniency. Get a lawyer.

Things to bring to court:

Lawyer
Lube
Lots of smokes (you'll need these to make friends in jail)

eh...i would be prepared for a hefty fine for sure. Ive had 80/55, 74/55, and 86/50 since ive been in VA (last one was over a year ago, thank god) and i think the cheapest was $350.00. So, I'd save up. Oh, and 6 month license suspension too.

Re: 86 in a 55...

I had 2 tickets in 2 weeks when I was younger. One was a following too close after an accident and the other was a reckless in a Work Zone doing 75 in a 50. Paid my lawyer $500 and got out of both of the tickets with nothing but an 8 hour driver improvement course.

My advice.........get a good lawyer.

yea the lawyer is on the way..i dont mind community service..i just dont want to lose my license, and would love to get it reduced after a probation period

Re: 86 in a 55...

I'd rather have a restricted license than do community service. I've been there...it sucks. I lost my license for 6 months and had to do 100 hours of community service. The community service was in lieu of 6 months jail. All 6 months were suspended.

Re: 86 in a 55...

Bout 4 years ago I got pulled for speeding (wreckless) in da same city. I already had 3 offenses on my record. Went to court wit no lawyer (just said fuck it, deal wit da consequences, whatever happens, happens). The judge I had would first have all who wanted to plead guilty for a lesser punishment form a line, so I got in it and plead guilty. Ended up keepin my license, just got a $103 fine plus court costs. If u do get a lawyer, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW ITS A GOOD LAWYER, not just an expensive one.

damn...hopefully i will come out as lucky as you...yea its a family friend so most likely will be FREE!!! but im hoping to at least get it reduced...

Re: 86 in a 55...

honestly your not saving much time when speeding especially when you span the total of all the precious seconds and or minutes over a year....

you might save maybe 30min in a year for speeding....but on a day to day basis you probably save yourself a few seconds....maybe minutes speeding....

its not really necessary to speed....

triple digit speeding. Corey was doing a high-speed pass on the highway for some video footage and he was pulled over for speeding.

How...high of a speed?

Only asking because of up and coming court date for similar...

GO TO DRIVING SCHOOL BEFORE YOUR COURT DATE...IT WILL LOOK GOOD, AND HE WILL PROLLY REDUCE IT TO SPEEDING....NOT WRECKLESS DRIVING

when i was in court for my ticket (63 in a 45) a kid got 40 hours of community service and 6 months probation for a 91 in a 65 because he had already taken the drivers improvement course. do it ahead of time.

Re: 86 in a 55...

i got busted doing 86 in a 55 on 64 between mercury and armistead.

go to a driver improvement course because your lawyer will probly tell you to do it anyway.

my lawyer was Mr Fox who is rated number 2 in the city of newport news.

my lawyer fee was 300 and it was dropped from wreckless driving down to improper driving. My fine was 200.

was also my second ticket.
