Ok obviously these cars are arguably meant for 2 different markets but I like diff types of cars so it's down to these two. I thought the C6 was the clear winner until I test trove the 335i convert thursday in va beach. I've never been as as pleasantly surprised by a car as by the 335i. Obviously the 335i isn't about the straight line performance but the test drive was through mostly curvy roads with no other people around.

Both of these will be at about 46k when im done ordering them so just focus on their pros and cons. This will be my primary car(I'll only use the tiburon if one of them were to break down). I have no intention of tracking or doing any major engine modding to either. Wheels, stereo, drop will be the most that will be done to them in the near future. I do enjoy "spirited" driving from time to time though so I like to know I have a little something under the hood.

The only commonality between all the cars I've been through is that they have 2 doors. Went from 96 cavailer to 02 WS6 to 04 tiburon to 03 s2000 to one of these two. The longest I've had a car is going on 3 years with the tib, the shortest is 2 months with the s2000. So needless to say I probaby won't have either of these cars past 4 years if that.

So given the 2 priced the same, which would you pick? I have a feeling the vette will landslide here, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

i voted for the bmw before i read what you said, and if you arnt going to be keeping it, then id say bmw, because im pretty sure that it will hold its value longer

Tough choice. Performance wise it isn't even that close....vette all the way. If you are more concerned with euro quality and cruising then the bimmer might be better suited for you (even though my girlfriends bimmer was a piece of shit and was in the shop 12 times for the same electrical problem). The 335 vert will be quite costly after adding some options. My neighbor just got one and it is a beautiful car. He was over 50K when it was finally optioned out. Both great cars and both hold their value very well with the slight edge to bimmer. Good Luck.

the corvette. comfy enough for all day driving, fast enough to make you need new pants (ask rich how I know), and with enough appeal to the opposite sex that all you have to do is roll down your windows and cruise the strip. for a vette, its like trolling with a huge vagina net.

A vette is a pussy magnet. I hate to say it, but i said it. I have had my eye on a white one for a bit. Tho check the CF forums cause there is a dealership selling them for hi 30-low 40s. Mike (GM Rulz) bought his thru him and got a smoking deal. If your curious go over to TWR site and send him a PM. That will simply save you a 5k probrably. If your going with a vette. Also dont take anyones opinion on this site. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone got one and they all stink. Go with what your more comfortable with.

Tough call... you said you don't want to do major modding, just wheels, drop, some tunes.

If you'd said performance I'd say C6 all the way, but the Bimmer will be a tad more livable as it's higher and has rear seats.

That said, I daily drove my Z06 for over a year when I first purchased it... they make great DDs if you leave the mods to a minimum.

The new '08 vette has teh 430hp LS3 which has tons of power bone stock and a great interior even w/ the base model.

I say get an '08 vette, get the cheap painted wheels, throw on some wheels, lower it 1" w/ the factory adjusters, get some mufflers and call it a day. The stock stereo is quite good and w/ the DVD/Nav/XM system there's not much in need of changing.

PS w/ the vette you can get the clear targa panel... which makes closed roof driving very very fun.

I didn't..............re-read the posts. Both nice cars. If you want a decent daily driver that looks pretty good with a superior interior....get the bimmer. If you want something that is also a pretty decent daily driver and will eat the bimmers ass all day long .....get the vette. I like them both but prefer a little power and superior handling over nicer leather. I'll buy a caddy when I get old.

Unfortunately the build quality isn't quite what it used to be for BMW.................but I still think it is better than the Chevy.
