The "2005 Mustang" Thread
So... Heres a good link for info: http://www.stangnet.com/2005fordmustang/index.html
The GT is still a 4.6 liter, but with 24-valves. 300hp.
The V6 is a 4.0l, with 220hp.
Both have at best a 5-speed manual, or 5-speed automatic.
Hmm... anyone else thinking about getting it?
Personally, I find the 'fog' lights on the GT kind of ugly.
And I wonder if they're going to have the same rear end and axles as the current GT... I'd imagine if I convinced 2003gt to get rid of his, and buy a new 2005 and put the blower on it... it'd kick ass.
Think this V6 will be a good modder?

I would consider getting one if it had something more powerful under the hood. I'm almost putting out the same numbers from a stock 4 banger, so if I buy a V8, I want something with some balls.

What I REALLY want is Chevy to come out with a retro Camaro to compete with this retro Mustang.
Theres no replacement for displacement. 346, 350, 383, 396, anyone? Or... 454?

I've always thought that this body style was ugly however, everytime I see it I like it a little more each time. I think its one of those things that has to grow on you and you either really like it or you hate it. Wonder what the sticker price will be

Re: The "2005 Mustang" Thread
I really need to see one in person/drive it to decide if I like the design.
From the initial pics I thought it looked good, then I have seen 2 videos and it made me unsure.
Obviously the 3V will make a bit more power than the current modulars but I guess the real question is what it will weigh, as I have heard conflicting reports. What good is the extra ponies if it weighs a few hundred more pounds.
S/C 'ing it will be the same gamble it is now, with the hyper-pathetic pistons in there again.
Nice to see the suspension made it into the modern world.
