Default 1997 Prelude Oil Light

I got a 1997 Honda Prelude with a H23 VTEC, whenever im out just driving around and come to a stop light my oil light comes on and i dont know why, when i start to move again it goes away. i check my oil and its all okay i jus didnt know if anyone had a similar problem or might know how to fix it.

I think it maybe the oil pump, thats what mine use to do before it took a shit on me.

could also be your bearings, hopefully not.

no i dont think so the engine is a rebuilt H23 with a VTEC head on it, all new seals adn bearings, i know that the weak point in those engien is the bottom end but i got all new bearings so is tehre anyting else that it oculd be

quit guessing and put a test gauge on it to verify your problem.


new does not always mean good, right, or correctly installed.
