im sorry but im biased and i love german cars, despite their shortcomings. Currently now there much much better than the late models especially in VW....but some still refute that one problem with a VW speaks for every VW and that they suck....simply not the case.

Thats very sad that the super car broke down so easily and quickly and that the manufacturer won't stand behind its products......Makes me happy to drive my Honda.

i did a report on why people would buy import over domestic goods, not just cars, but i used cars as an example. the top 5 most reliable cars after 5years
1) porsche
2) toyota
3) BMW
4) Honda
5) Nissan
lasts: KIA(500s), mercedes(upper 300s) (WTF?!). most of the american makers were slightly below the average of.... 173 defects per 100 cars (i forget the exact number but that sounds right), porsche was in the 90s.
the info i used was from 2003, so it might have changed slightly

to think of it.... I TOUCHED THAT EXACT CAR!!! i was at HIN seattle 2004 and the car was there, it had its own <striketrhough>body</strikethrough> car guard, and its rear end was close enough to me to get a finger on a $1.7 million dollar car that had a paper that said "for sale" written in sharpy.... kinda ghetto for sale sign for such an expensive car

It's a 5-off exotic, and not based on anything currently produced, so I'm not too surprised it's got quality issues. Super low volume cars are nothing more than slightly shinier prototypes, complete with all of the fit issues and reliability problems. And the low volume price tag..
I can't believe people are comparing this to high volume production German cars, it's dumb.
