My apartment has a fireplace. Not that old a place. It's just a way of forcing those of us who want to live on a top floor to pay a little extra for the feature. It's kind of funny having no furniture other than one office chair and one desk (that's right, no bed), yet having a fireplace as a luxury extra, but oh well.

 

A couple pieces won't last you the night...

I've busted firewood before so I know how big/small of a piece is acceptable for an avg. fire place... Its not easy work and I can understand why he doesn't want to do it...
