Looking to get a rather large oak tree cut down and removed from the property next to mine as it is destroying the cars I have in my driveway.... I already ahve permission from the owner of the house, he wont do it becuase it is for sale and almost bank owned so he doesnt give two shits.

Anyone know of a place that isnt going to rape me? I have no objections to having a case of beer and climbing up and doing it my damn self, but I'm in a homeowners association so everyhting has to be by the book.

I have no idea what I'm doing, nor do I have any sort of insurance. . .but have a chainsaw I've been itching to use and do accept beer for payment. Can I drink prior to cutting down the tree?

Kidding aside, you looking for someone to cut the whole tree down or just trim the branches? I may know someone who could do it.

I'm in the same scenario with a client of mine. she may lose her home insurance if the branches above her home aren't cut down.

Wish I could remember the name of the company I hired, found them on CL. I'd go that route, get a couple quotes and keep in mind you can negotiate, it's going into slow season.

How is your HOA? Mine is very, very lax about the rules. In my neighborhood, I'd do that, and most things short of building a $50,000 structure in my yard, without even asking permission. I mean, what are they really going to do about it?
