I dont know if id trust anyone but shepracing to build a race tranny.... but thats a personal opinion. Im sure he might by stuff from TRE, but still.... shep knows his shit when it comes to tranny's, reason he builds his own. Your car being FWD i wouldnt worry about a built tranny yet. I know plenty of people with well over 500whp running stock tranny's. You have to be smart and remember that it's not bulletproof.

Granted now that you'll have the 2.3L there will be a bit more torque, but youll have more of a traction problem and axle breaking issue i think that something in the tranny.

My tranny is stock and i still plan on pull 1.8 60's :) or at least ill try

If it breaks fix it... if it's not broke... break it eventually

thats true nick but it has 180 thou on stock tranny. I could wait i could really use a paint job after the install of everything else. So when ya wanan put hte motor in?
so where do i get some stronger axles at?
