This. I do the same thing, just get out of people's way. I also launch my car from the stoplight before the railroad tracks on Nanesmond to make sure I'm in front of the faggot in the other lane, who always floors it to try and get in front of me, so they can do 10 under once they're there. But then again, I avoid it as much as possible anyway because of all the potholes and how often the trains stop you. I fucking HATE that road.
Luckily I never have to go that way for anything. I stick to Bennett's Pasture and then Bridge Road daily.

Yep, I was in the white mk6 golf but it's nothing flashy so I doubt you even noticed. 
What color was your car originally? Mine has a bunch of clear coat peeling and I've considered doing the prep work, then having Maaco lay a cheap coat of seafoam green on it. I'd rather my car was a different original color though. I guess I don't care much because it will be a beater anyway but I don't want to deal with painting the bay, and I'd much rather it was black or white than red.

Saw a white GTI with corny gold wheels trying to chase down an older red Mercedes with black wheels and looks like it may have had gold in the paint shimmers when light hits it...bright fucking red like 10 mile away bright. Anyhow it was on vb blvd near bitchduck.

Saw a BMW S7 going down Upton, also saw a gorgeous newer M3 in the Marina blue. It sounds phenomenal. I now have a new favorite color
