NEWPORT NEWS – Police say a Navy woman was found dead in a downtown Newport News apartment Thursday afternoon.

Authorities were called to an apartment complex in the 200 block of 32rd Street around 3:15 p.m.

Spokesman Lou Thurston tells WVEC.com a 20-year-old woman had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

"We currently have taken a man in for questioning. No arrests have been made," he stated.

The investigation continues.

The 22-year-old man being questioned also is enlisted in the Navy, police confirm.
ok it wasn't her face, i lied but wow.

it's happened. can't imagine it. like people who get burned beyond recognition and live.
Yea i had to watch these gun safety video in high school and it showed this guy with no face who lived from a AK-47 round from the top of his head through the front of his face. Shit was gnar.

The article states the Navy man is just being questioned, it doesn't say he did it. As far as they know now, it's just a Navy woman that was shot dead.
