Default Looking for a Nissan 350z Specialist. Long read, sorta.

Hey guys, I own a 04 350z with 76K miles on it. I bought the car used from a retired military man about 6 months ago and have enjoyed it ever since. However, me being new to the Nissan world and with very limited knowledge on the 350z, it's starting to show the normal/critical 350z problems that they came with flawed from the factory.

I've managed to somewhat fix the common problem of the feathering issue through All Aspecs and they did a great job. It also has the common window regulator motor going out which has not yet been fixed due to funds and laziness. Long story short and by reading the 350z forums, I feel that my clutch/flywheel and tranny is starting to show signs of wear and tear and that I might need some maintenance on it before it all goes to crap.

So besides the obvious reputable shops in the area like All Aspecs, MRD, Ramey, and Re_spec garage are they're any other Nissan specialist out there that could diagnose my problem without butt raping me like the dealership will do if I bring it to them. I realize the car is nothing special than any other I've just heard of certain shops doing better work than others or the ability of correcting the problem the first time. I'm located in Va Beach and can bring anywhere within the 757.

Z doc's site no longer works.

JGY is way out of my range with some bad reviews, I'm trying to keep it local here in the 757.

Thanks though.

Whats wrong w/ your clutch or why would you think its your trans? I was gonna do the clutch/fw on my G35 soon - welcome to turn it into a multi-car deal unless you're just trying to have someone else do it.

Is your clutch slipping under hard throttle after you shift?

I'm 99% sure I need to replace the throwout bearing and clutch seems not to engage as fast as it did 6 months ago. The trans is starting to grind every once in a while going into 1st and 6th.

You're most likely correct. But if the clutch isn't bad, its probably the syncro gears going bad.
