Yeah it looks like a Buick Regal T-Type. More or less a watered down version of the Buick Grand National GNX.

Car & Driver, May 1987, proclaimed the GNX the quickest production car in the world in 1987 with a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds.

On racing flix they have a vid of a Viper vrs two GN's, viper gets its ass handed to it.
