2004 tib.
if you just want a good car for everyday driving that looks nice and is quick enough to get you around town with some excitment i'd say go with the tib over the srt4...just because i'm not that fond of how they look. but like i said the when the new tib get's a face lift it should look sexier but again i forgot when that is coming.
my hyundai is a 97 and i've had no problems with other than some alternator issues. and has been VERY reliable.
problems came when i hit a curb and bent shit up...and when i bottomed out and fucked up my o2 sensor. no i dont' have 10 100,000 mile warrenty that came out after 97.

Get a Scion, Get a Scion......
xB, no a tC, no how 'bout the Geo Metro looking xA.
C'mon, get the Tib. It has something called styling and a little bit of something called performance. Get the GTV6, don't even consider the 4 banger. If your going to do it, do it right, ya' know what I mean. My best friend has a GTV6, and I really can't believe at what a nice ride it really is.

Besides, the V6 Delta engine can take alot of shit. Adding on a 12 lbs supercharger by Alpine Developments, people are running in excess of 280hp on stock clutches, stock bottom ends, stock everything.
The clutch thing is crazy, but at least you know your engine can take that! Once a week we're getting new records broken as far as power gains are considered.

Also out the door a SRT-4 and a GT Tib. are the same price, I would go for the SRT-4.

my friend also has a v6 tib and i was pretty impressed w/ the car. it wasnt especially fast or anything but it felt good overall and the warranty will give you some peace of mind. another guy i know got the tc and its already been in and out of the dealership w/ little minor electrical and interior shit. its only 2 months old and i think its been back to the dealer 3 times, thats some annoying shit
i got a tc and have no problems at all. i considered the tib. but the tc had the bigger back seat with proven toyota reliability. mine also came with the side curtain airbags, i dont think hyundai even offers that in the tib. and im sure the tc will have better resale value than the tib.
but then again the tc isnt very sporty, to me its more of a "comfortable" car. it really just comes down to what you want.
