Thing is my trans was in car i got there told him to get in and lets go feel my trans he said im good i take your word. his trans wasent in car and I said before I leave with it in car I'm going to try it I did trans was fucked up then he s said he would fix or replace

It sucks you got boned not flaming you but you fucked yourself just as much as he did. You never buy/trade for used parts without testing them. I wanna see what the other party has to say about all this, you know they are bound to have a name on here.
So this is a deal made between you an a person? as in a "off the books" transaction between you and an individual NOT you an a business...correct? Because those are two separate entities protected by whats considered "the corporate veil" Where the shop itself can not be held liable for any of this, however he could. Holding the individual person liable would be possible if you had written up some sort of bill of sale for the trade/transaction. BUT i`de bet a weeks pay you never even considered that before jumping into this....So ya. You`re boned, havn`t a leg to stand on legally and would be better off eating the cost of repairs than even attempting anything legal.
Sucks ya i know but next time you`ll be smart enough to work things out on the books or at least make up some simply paper work.

It was between me and the dude Phil that works and owns adrenaline auto works.. Have numerous txt from him saying other things about this matter that's just as good as paperwork

also said that the trans was purchased from a kid because he couldn't pay bill and he bought diff his self and put it in and that it was fresh only three dyno pulls after he put in his car..
