Subwoofers not working, amp IS getting power.
Got a problem with my subwoofers in my car....
I'm not sure wtf it is though so I come to you hoping at least one of you guys might have had the same problem in the past.
Ok, I have 2 10" JBL on a Dual 400 watt amp. (Dual is the manufacturer.)
I got the car already wired up for subs, just needed amp and speakers. I hooked everything up the exact same way I had them hooked up in my old car. Worked great. then out of no where they cut off. I thought my amp over heated and waited about 10 minutes and still nothing. I got to where ever the hell it was that I was going and shut the car off. Gone for how ever long then came back, started it up, subs were working again. A couple hours later they went out again. This time they were out for a couple days. I looked at my inline fuse towards my battery and it was corroded and my uncle said something about the ground, switch both out, they started working again, but not for long. They went back out two days ago and idk wtf is going on. The amp is on, but the speakers aren't working. I tried it with my other amp that I had in my last car and it would turn on but still nothing through the subwoofers. Also tried another speaker and they didnt work either. Idk wtf to do and im hoping someone here can help me out. I'm sure it's something super simple that my retarded ass is over looking.
TL;DR duhfuck is wrong with my subwoofers?

the other day I rewired the entire system and it worked, then cut back off an hour or so later, checked all fuses today, everything is good..... except for the sound.

Have you checked the RCA's? The actual sound signal goes through them. If you're getting power, but not sound, I'd almost bet it something with the RCA's or something inside your radio.

I honestly think this is my problem as well. I switched RCA's with my old ones and they worked then went out again, not sure how or why but gonna buy another RCA cable and try that, hopefully will work.

I'd say the head unit is bad or you have the amp to subs wired wrong and the amp is kicking over to protect mode. Really think it's the second one too, what ohm are the subs?

Get a RCA to phono jack cable and connect it to your amp and to a MP3 player and try that. If it works you will take the amp and subs completely out of the mix of things and you know they are good. If that works. Get some RCA couplers and connect the RCAto phone cable with the RCA couplers to the RCA cable behind the head unit. If it works then your head unit has issues and if it doesn't i would say your RCA cable from your head unit to your amp is bad.
