Re: how much is an average job for valve stem seal
i think dunkums on er i think either jefferson or warwick charged me 400.00 labor to check the head and replace the valves (with my own) and put in dual rate springs and titanium retainers (of which i provided) and they did come with seals as well they also did a 3 angle on the head for an additional charge but i cant remember what it was been a while ago.

Alldata calls for 4.0 hours to replace all valve seals. (The head doesn't have to be removed!) So multiply the 4.0 by the shops hourly rate, add worst case 100.00 in parts and there you have it... Now bear in mind I would bump the labor time a little, because the old valve seals are a real pain in the azz to remove!!!!

Where are you located. I work for a honda dealership in va beach and can do it for you. I can also provide oem valve stem seals for cheaper than you can get them for. PM me if you are interested.
