96 JDM B18C doesn't use o2 Sensors???
I have a 97 Civic LX with 96 JDM B18C swap and my guy that changed my wiring harness from a stock LX harness to a SOHC VTEC harness said the JDM Integra Type R doesn't utilize o2 sensors. He also said I wouldn't need to go to the exhaust shop to get a bung installed for my secondary o2 sensor. Is this true or am I hurting performance?? Do I need both o2 sensors hooked up?
thanks,
Jeremy

He's wrong. Or maybe he's confused if the ITR sensors aren't heated or arent widband or something like that. It definitely has O2 sensors though.
If the ecu uses two O2 sensors, you need to use two O2 sensors or else use an effective bypass method for the rear sensor. The rear sensor is mostly used for cat convertor efficiency measurement and is compared with the reading from the front sensor.

it all depends on how everything is set-up what is needed. i was having fun with the thread on h-t because i dont know it all and was trying to learn more..

Hopefully you got this figured out already. Same as Fabrik said, it has nothing to do with what motor. It all depends on what ECU you are running.... but definitely, you must have at least 1 O2 sensor. OBD1 ECU reads only 1 (primary)... all OBD2 reads 2 (primary and secondary).

the stamp "B18C" is found on both JDM ITR and JDM GSR. These JDM motors doesnt have the "1" or the "5" like USDM has.

It had no O2 sensors if you removed them and then reprogrammed the ECU to run an open-loop engine management strategy, otherwise you're confused. You probably just forgot where they are.
It had at least one.. If it was a USDM it had two. If it was JDM it might have only had one. Some years or models had one/both on the cat instead of the header, can't remember which is which. I can't remember when the JDM OBD2 went from one to two sensors.
