That's the natural sound of tires being worn. If you have 20K miles on them, then the noise you are hearing is the reminder to get some new rubber in the near future. Check the tread. They may still last for some time, but the unbearable noise gets louder and louder. My Yokohamas were the worst.

It might be that they're up to their tread life, like Skywalker said.

No way they are on their way out! I just bought them a little over a year ago. They are rated at 40,000miles. Theres plenty of tread left in them...

hahah, ok i guess thats the problem. but i still think theres like 75% tread left. These are not tuner size tires, the side wall is 60.

if there is tred left and its not the tire wear..maybe they're "Cupped" like two of my Pirelli's...It happens if ur car is out lf alingment ( i think)...you can see the big dips in the tread wear on the tires...Does it get really really loud once u hit like...40-45?

yep, its unbarable after 45mph. im thinking they are cupped. My fathers tires were cupped and they made the same type of noise. Is there a way to get rid of it, or just get an alignment and new tires?

alingment and new tires...thankfully only 2 of my tires are bad....and i got a spare when i bought them from Skywalker (spare never ben used) so i only have to buy 1 new tire... which is good..but its still $200 mounted/balanced..oh well..not much u can do
