Default Shoe Creek / Big Levels Run

Would anyone be up for some trail riding/camping at shoe creek and big levels. I have never been but have been wanting to go for a couple weeks now. If someone has been before and would like to lead the group speak up. So if anyone is interested lets plan this.

I am thinking Aug 22/23 or 29/30. It will give us enough time to see who is interested and get it planned.

LOL @ the no retards post. I feel the same way. I like wheeling and not Rednecking. The guys I run with are the same way. Those dates look good for me. I have posted about it in TeamDOHC.org . Guys seen interested in the Shoe Creek run. We frequent that spot often and know the trails pretty well as far as whats actual trail and " Hell man it don't matter, just do it."
I will post these dates and see what gets kicked around. Feel free to check out that 4x section. New people are always welcome.

I am very interested. Our late spring trip never materilized. I am assuming Big Levels is the same as Stoney Run. Shoe Creek is a great trail, as long as it does not rain. There sre 3 or 4 creek crossings. No problem for stockers as long as there are no recent rainstorms.

Stoney Run is better when it rains, there is a little bit of mud. I prefer Stoney Run, because it is a little closer to home 90-minutes to the gravel road (Coal road), I could do either.

Some may want to do both. You could do one Saturday and one on Sunday. Both are approximately 3-hours to run. Both are passable in stock , but some modification makes it easer. Shoe Creek trail head is at Crabtree Meadows (Crabtree Falls). There is a gravel parking lot and latrine. It is a very popular camping spot as well.

Well I just broke down and ordered a ton of shit for my Jeep today so depending on the dates they come and when I can get everything installed will depend on which weekend I can go.

Shit I ordered today.

Rubicon Express 3.5 inch superflex substituted the lower control arms for the adjustable ones, adjustable track bars, quick disconnect sway bar links, rims, and 33x12.5 bfg mt km2s. So it should be a big day of installs.
