Fairfax County Reckless Driving Ticket
Got a reckless ticket for 82 in a 55. I was ordered to pay a $250 fine plus court processing fee. What do you all think? Is that normal??
Unfortunately my charge was not reduced to a lesser offense. This is my first reckless driving charge btw.

If you got caught going over 80 MPH you are fortunate the judge didn't suspend your license.
I didn't know it was on your record longer though. If it was with that civil penalties deal, that was overturned.

you are lucky they didnt suspend your license, and no $250 is not normal, it is incredibly cheap, so be happy.
I ended up paying in excess of $500 down here in Va Beach for a reckless for the fine and court fees before they implemented that bogus thing where you had to pay thousands upon thousands of dollars. Gotta pay to play...
