Default Lost my motorcycle key

I called two locksmiths and they want 95.00 to come to my house and cut me a key. I have the black plastic tag on my key chain. Can I contact suzuki and have them send me a key for cheaper? Yes I'm a dumass

95.00 Doesn't seem TOO bad considering they will be cutting it on the spot. It beats having to wait for it if you are trying to ride anytime in the immediate future. And just curious, how did it get lost?

Call the dealership and see if they can cut it by the Vin#. I had that done with my Acura. Took 5 minutes and $15.

If you can take the lock cylinder off and take it to a lock smith it'll be less then $30.. i just had to do this with a car, i just pulled the trunk cylinder and had it done in about a hour..

+1 maybe use the lock for your rear seat or cowl....if it has one.

Took a friend to get his key made for his bike. We put the bike in the back of the truck and the locksmith was impressing a key for around an hour and a half. Anyway, it's cheaper sometimes if you bring the bike to the locksmith. Can't remember how much it cost but it wasn't $95. Grom, any ideas?

I lost a key for my EX500, so I pulled the top triple and was planning on taking it to a locksmith. They quoted me $45 if I just took the top triple and accessory lock to ensure it worked both places.

I found my key after taking the bike apart but before taking the triple to the locksmith...
