Seems legit. Just something I wouldn't put in with any kind of modified engine until someone else does it.. lol. I'll just buy my higher octane gas. That's about the only thing I put in my car.

Seems like it'd work, but in the picture it shows nail polish remover. I don't think I really want to pour nail polish remover into my car.

I haven't found one thing saying it doesn't work.

I'll probably try it in my Jeep the next time I fill up. It gets horrible mileage.

it wont hurt anything in the motor, if anything in an older car it will loosen some gunk in the fuel system and run a little odd until its burned off, depending on how much goes in it will mess with ignition so.....it would be better on a modified engine over a stock on. you can use everclear and start a car on just that no gas it will idle higher its way more octane, just like race gas thats all it is....higher alcohol contents, the gas with ethonal in it is even worse becasue its from a plant it.... contains low sugar content.....slowly killing your engine everytime you fill up.

From wikipedia
"Some automotive enthusiasts add acetone at around 1 part in 500 to their fuel, following claims of improved economy. The practice is controversial as acetone may affect fuel system parts, such as rubber seals. Reports of vehicles covering 50,000 miles (80,000 km) without fault"

From what I've read that seems to be a very minute concern. Several people soaked parts said to be affected by acetone in pure acetone to see what would happen. And rubber parts that soaked in a dillution 200 times stronger than the suggested use expanded by less than 2% over six months.

But there's so much crap on the internets these days. Who knows?

I'm still gonna try it.
