VA Laws against headlight intensity..?
Does anyone know the VA laws concerning HID/XENON headlight ratings?
My car has 4300k power stock HID bulbs...But i'd like something a little more 'bluer' so I was thinking of going to 6000k, 7000k, or 8000k...But for some reason I heard certain 'power' HID lights were illegal here?
Not that it really matters, im going to go with what want, but thought i'd ask anyways.

yup.all OEM HIDs are 4300 temp,so anything higher than that would be illegal both ways.
i have 5k in my bike.that's about as high as you want to go.blueish look, but still great light.anything higher just gets pinkish and you start losing useable light very quickly.

...just doing their jobs.
Are your headlights aimed properly? IMO, if they were 100% properly aimed, they would be relatively unnoticed. They're illegal, regardless, and I would imagine it's the "one bad apple" theory. Get what I'm saying?

Re: VA Laws against headlight intensity..?
My M3 had no front license plate, but then again I didnt drive around like most maniacs do in sports cars, so they never bothered me. Again in the WRX, I have no front plate - since im running a FMIC - but have never been bothered. Im running a straight 3" exhaust on it, catless, everything, loud as hell, but have never been bothered. Maybe i've just gotten lucky. You wanna make sure you never give the popo reason to pull you over, just drive well and DO CLOSE to the speed limit if they're near.
