Headlight color laws?
 
Hey guys my wife got pulled this morning because my HIDs are blue in color... Where is the legal law for this, just wondering if anyone can shed some light so I can decided wheather to go through with my retrofit FX35 HID setup or just put the OEM bulbs back in... TIA!

i had a set of rainbow headlights in my crx back in the mid 90s...

they sucked ass for light and i got pulled constantly

there is someone on here selling some pink ones for 100 bucks!!! you guys should hop on that!!! i would but i already have pink fogz


to the OP: anything not OEM in virginia is illegal. Whether it be your exhaust, suspension or hids.

i have rainbows HID's now and I NEVER get pulled. :dunno:

I have 6000k and i've never had a problem, been pulled over for tint and other stuff and they've never even mentioned them.

i have friends with purple, pink, and the 10k blue, they have never been pulled and all but one lives in va beach and we all know there cops are dicks. i got a set of purple ones, but im moving to florida where there not nearly as anal

Yes... HID's are illegal period. Does not matter what size or color they are. They will not pass inspection. You can get the Sylvania blue lights though. They are completely legal. They are the only lights that are. When in doubt... ask an off duty cop.

please tell me taht they arent actually colored bulbs??....if they arent, you can argue taht its the light temperature, bring pics, facts...blah blah blah....i'm pretty sure they'd still have no idea WTF your talking about, but it'd be worth it if it got dropped

Odd, mine passed inspection. It could be because they look like an OEM color, and my headlights are projector housings, so it has a nearly perfect cut-off line.
