d16z6 no start!
 

i have a d16z6 that was just freshly rebuilt, i get it bak in the car and get everything hooked up today and it wont start. i have no spark and i dont hear the fuel pump priming, so i take a dizzy and set if wires off a running z6 and still no spark. im getting power at the blk and yellow wire at the dizzy. all grounds were cleaned and star washers were installed so grounds should not be a issue. i swaped the main relay off of a running car, and still no spark. i also tried another p28 that i had laying around....so as of now im just stuck, im sure its something simple that i overlooked but nothings jumping out at me now

are you sure your grounds are good? with no fuel or spark, i can only think of bad grounds/one missing

ima double check tomorow when i go to the shop, but the i ohmed the one from the tranny to the body and its good, the one from the head to the body also checked good, and i connected my test light to power and touch the thermostat housing and the test light lit up, i swear i know its something soo small or stupid that i must have overlooked because shit isnt making n w sense to me

when you are hooking up the wires to the starter, one is a ground which looks fairly useless, but your car wont do anything without it; ask me how i know. twice. :pokerface:

hmm i dont remember a starter ground ima have to check that in the a.m. without that ground will the car still crank over?

figured it out, was something simple as i suspected i must have jus been tired last nite...the main relay wasnt clicking, it was due to fuse #12 in the inside fusebox being missing
