Shoe Creek, Lovingston, VA
Anybody ever been? I hear it's a good time and you will actually need 4wd to do some of the climbs....BUT I heard that some of the trail is on private property and some is still in the GWNF. Anybody have more info? I'm trying to get up there this afternoon, so....

Shoe creek is fun. It's all in GWNF and it's more or less just a trail ride. You can find some stuff to play on, but you can also make it through with a stock 4x4.

It is a place where you will actually need 4wd, right? I hate going places were you can just get dirty and not even need to engage 4wd, i.e. mud puddles.
