Anybody ever been? I hear it's a good time and you will actually need 4wd to do some of the climbs....BUT I heard that some of the trail is on private property and some is still in the GWNF. Anybody have more info? I'm trying to get up there this afternoon, so....

nobody has been there? I may not even try it today... I need to clean my jeep off in a bad way already. my wife needs it this week.

it took 6 bucks in quarters to clean my jeep off, I'm done for the weekend. Maybe next weekend though.

Shoe creek is fun. It's all in GWNF and it's more or less just a trail ride. You can find some stuff to play on, but you can also make it through with a stock 4x4.

hey thats ,like 15 minutes away from my house, I thought that trial was just for jeeps

from some of the write-ups I found, it looked as though you could go through stock, or there were some more challenging parts to try if you are epuipped to do so, but the challenging parts were small "loops" off of the main trail.

It is a place where you will actually need 4wd, right? I hate going places were you can just get dirty and not even need to engage 4wd, i.e. mud puddles.
