What could cause burn-like blisters w/o being burnt?

I've got what looks like a burn on my right wrist... it's about 1" x 0.2" and looks just like any burn I've ever had. I even "popped" it and got the clear fluid out... just like a burn. Here's the thing, I can't remember burning myself at all. I don't smoke, haven't cooked anything in a few days etc.

Being paranoid I'm worrying about some type of bacteria. I cleaned out a little in-ground pond thing in my back yard this Sunday and removed it. It'd been untouched for 5 years and was full of nasty water/muck. If it doesn't get any better in the next day or two I'll go see a doctor.

paper towl > everclear > electrical tape = good to go.

I stick my hands in some dirty holes every day and have yet to come down with anything the doctors can diagnose.

More research... leading candidate is some poison oak/ivy... I've been doing lots of landscaping.

EDIT: This isn't me... just a picture I found online.

I've never had staph, but could that possibly be it? I mean you can get staph just brushing up against a door that someone else touched. Best thing would probably see a doctor just to make sure.

A blister is a small pocket of fluid within the upper layers of the skin, typically caused by forceful rubbing, burning, freezing, chemical exposure or infection.[/Wikipedia]

All you'd need to make a blister is for a hard rubbing up of something the wrong way.

    Or you have herpes.
