Default Good Idea?
I need a new hood for my 02 wrx, but a new one is $600 from the dealer plus costs of getting it painted. I was wondering if you guys think it might be a better idea to order a carbon fiber one and try to trade it for a stock. I've found them online for around $500 so it would be a good way to save a few bucks. Input??

Why don't you just buy a used stock one? Maybe take a trip to pick 'n pull.

My '06 Rex has an aluminum hood. It's about as light as a few of the carbon hoods I've hefted.

My Z is the same way. The factory hood is actually lighter. We make fun of all the tards who buy carbon ones.
