Chesterfield County police are investigating a single-car crash last night in Chester that killed one person and injured another.
Police said Jacob B. Harris, 20, of Colonial Heights died at CJW Medical Center (Chippenham) a short time after the 10:34 p.m. crash, and a passenger in the 2000 Acura driven by Harris was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police said Harris was southbound in the 13300 block of Old Stage Road when he lost control of his car, went off the road and struck a utility pole.
An investigation of the crash is continuing.
