There are a number of large alternative art and graffiti murals in Charlottesville, as well as a large mosiac mural on 5th Street.

Only place I can think of is East on Broad street out of the downtown area up a hill down there. I'm sure there is somewhere to get the skyline in that general area...Never really tried to find a spot for it though so don't take my word for it.
